Branding Design

Lauren McLean Celebrant is an Australian wedding celebrant who wanted to rebrand in order to create a more cohesive and professional look, to make it easier to create social media content and to more accurately reflect her business.

We wanted to convey her focus on making the ceremonies fun and more like a party than a traditional ceremony. We used bold and playful colours that would appeal to her female target market, and the brand pattern is made up of soft, curved lines and was inspired by confetti to link represent celebration. The icon incorporating the wiggly arch was inspired by the wedding arbor to tie it back to the industry in a playful and more subtle way.

We incorporated whimsical illustrated elements to help her brand stand out, to reinforce her branding, to add personality and to make is easier to create social media content.

Another point of difference Lauren’s business has is her love of dogs and including them in the ceremonies. This lead me to include a dog drawn in the same whimsical style on one of the mock-ups of the illustrated elements and brand pattern, which also demonstrated how new content can be created while remaining on brand and being creative.

“Emma is oh so talented and such a delight to work with. I did a lot of hunting around with other designers prior and as soon as I started engaging with Emma, I knew she was the perfect fit. She helped bring my business vision to life with a phenomenal rebrand. It just feels so me!

Thank you for everything, Emma. You're a gem!”
