Dogs of CBR is a place where dog lovers come together and share tips and tricks and connect over their mutual love of dogs! A supportive, friendly, helpful and fun place sharing local dog related businesses, the best walking trails around, where to get your fur cut and the best treats in town! As well as selling dog apparel and dog themed human apparel!

I created Dogs of Canberra as part of a project at University in 2016, where I would interview different dog owners at dog parks and share images on instagram to explore how to build an engaged online community. Years later at the end of 2020 I turned the community into a community focused business. I started designing patterns by myself as well as in collaboration with local artists and selling dog related products.

During this time I built on my surface pattern design skills, communication and leadership skills, liaised with manufacturers to ensure the products were of high quality, worked with local stockists, built on our social media presence, collaborated with local artists, and gained an understanding of how to run a product based business.

For the “Vera” design I collaborated with Bec from Baroque By Bec, a talented artist who creates baroque style paintings which we digitalised and tweaked together. For the “Bailey” design I collaborated with Juliette from Poyo Studio, a brilliant illustrator who’s cute style brought the brief to life. The “Daisy” design I created myself and shared a few variations of with the online community, who’s feedback I used to finalise the design. Each design is named after a dog that’s part of our community.
